The annual meeting of the Arkansas Association of Real Estate Inspectors was held on the 19th and 20th of February in Little Rock, Arkansas. I was able to attend the meeting and while there completed the Arkansas Home Inspection Board’s annual continuing education requirements.
Members received training in Insulation and Ventilation Concepts and Troubleshooting which was provided by Lomanco, an Arkansas based company specializing in ventilation equipment. Training in Structural Systems, Advanced Electrical Systems, Air Conditioning and Heat Pumps, Solid Fuel Appliances and the Code of Ethics/Standards of Practice was presented by the American Home Inspector Training Institute. A total of fourteen hours of excellent training was provided.
This was also a great opportunity to meet with other Arkansas Licensed Home Inspectors. More than 100 inspectors attended the training so there was a wealth of knowledge and experience. Information, issues, concerns and knowledge was shared freely. I was very impressed with this and the encouragement and enthusiasm shown by my fellow inspectors. I am looking forward to next year’s meeting and training.
